Twenty-three Goals in 90 Days… Go! As the end of the year is near approaching, I thought it would be good to write down my year-end goals. After a month of recovering from surgery I had a lot of time to think and re-evaluate goals that help me feel organized and balanced. My heart is inspired to compile a list of what is important to me in life and what accomplishments I want to make.

What tickles your fancy to get organized? If you know me, it is no surprise that mine is to write lists and goals for everything. It keeps me mentally in check and feeling balanced (can we say O.C.D.!). I have always been a big list person… daily lists, grocery lists, New Year's goal lists… and on and on. I believe they work. Usually I only write down broad lists as yearly goals once a year on New Year's Eve with my husband. The following New Year's Eve we pull out that list and go through our accomplishments before writing the next list. If there is a goal we did not meet we roll it over to the next year. My favorite was looking back in 2012 and writing that we wanted to buy our first home to remodel (even though it looked like a long shot) and then in 2013 seeing that goal met. A few that were unmet was me getting my Real Estate License… so we will just keep rolling that one around until it is done (I started but when pregnancy brain hit and a lack of a sitter, study time became unfeasible.) Excuses, excuses, I know.

This set of goals I think hits all areas of life.

{Marriage & Family}
1. Get wedding album made (we have been married for over 6 years and I have not done this yet!!!).
2. Set up a family photo shoot.
3. Get family pictures printed and framed for our home.
4. Plan a romantic dinner date with Kris.
5. Plan once a month date night.
6. Finish decorating our bedroom.
7. Plan consistent weekly fun activities for Chase.
8. Make Curren's baby album.
9. Order birth announcements.
{Others}
10. Go grocery shopping for someone.
11. Take a meal to someone.
12. Feed the homeless on Thanksgiving.
13. Babysit a friends baby so they can have a date night.
14. Send snail mail to friends.
15. Send out a random care package to a friend.
16. Donate to a good cause.
{Self}
17. Start studying for Real Estate License.
18. Look into getting fitness certification.
19. Be social media free for an entire weekend.
20. Get fit. Run 3 days a week. Add yoga to my weekly routine.
{Fun}
21. Go away for the weekend.
22. Ride the train.
23. Go to a sports event.

Again, what strikes your fancy? Is it to get healthier, run a marathon, call more friends rather than texting? However big or small I challenge you to play along with me for the next three months/90 days and compile your list of goals. What goals do you have that you want to reach or that help you keep your life organized?

    Love number 15. 3 weeks ago I had a baby. My oldest friend had sent a congratulations card immediately so I was surprised on Friday to receive a small parcel from her. Inside was a note saying she remembered it feeling hard a few weeks into being a mum when the lack of sleep starts to kick in. There was also some really nice chocolate in the parcel. Best parcel ever and will try to remember to do this for other friends.
