The paleolithic diet, often referred to as simply paleo, is based upon foods thought to be those that prehistoric man commonly ate. Generally, that means lots of meat, some vegetables, but no dairy, no grains and no processed sugars. Obviously, our modern access to spices, alone, can make such a diet considerably more palatable than what your run-of-the-mill hunter/gatherer ate.
