Ghoulish times call for ghostly encounters with friends and family! Halloween is a time to celebrate fall and the playful spirit in us all! And what better way to celebrate than an Easy Halloween Pumpkin Decorating Party Craft For Kids!
Last weekend my boys and I hosted a happy hour pumpkin decorating party for some of our friends. We made pumpkin faces used icing as “glue” and candy for decorations similar to how a ginger bread house is decorated. Gooey marshmallows, chocolate, licorice twists and Skittles creatively displayed into pumpkin faces – pieced into ears, hair, eyes, noses, mouths and eye brows!
For the icing, I put it in quart size Freezer Zip Lock baggies, squeezed any extra air out, then snipped the tip slightly for easy dispensing.
Oh what fun we had with this easy Halloween craft! Our little goblins ate most of the candy before, after and during the party so next time I might be adding popcorn, pretzels and dried vegetables into the mix:-) There is no fuss with carving, just pure fun and bliss for our kiddos lining faces with vanilla icing embodied by candies such of Twizzlers Twists, Skittles, M&M's and marshmallow's to stand. Maybe it stands into hair up top, teeth made into a Skittles mouth, or eyes masked into giant chocolate droplets. However each pumpkin is decorated, it so joyful to see the characters come to life without the messy cleanup of carving!
Thank you friends for such a fun memorable event! I would love to see what Halloween party crafts you all are creating this season. Please tag me on Instagram at delightfulmomfood so I can repost and share with others! I hope you are brining out the playful spirit in us all!
