Top 8 favorite yogurt recipes from the blog that you have to try! Plus a bit about getting together to help prepare #FutureLeaders to protect the environment for the next generation!
Let me just start off saying this post is a bit off from my traditional recipe posts because I felt touched to share a way to protect our environment for the next generation and it starts with kids. For they are powerful beings as they are our future leaders! If there is a way that I (we) can help mold children and give them experiences to move them in a positive direction in life, then I am eager to help.
That is why I have teamed up with Stonyfield to share how we can make a difference. Please stay for a bit, then I will get to the yogurt recipes from this blog you’ve gotta make!
Last year Stonyfield became a sponsor of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums SAFE program (Saving Animals from Extinction) to help educate kids and their families about endangered animals. Their main objective is to bring children everywhere up close and personal with the animal kingdom to learn about the conservation projects and efforts that are taking place to save these critical species. In turn, to help kids learn how they can make a difference.
Their mission is to to help take kids from Boys and Girls clubs across the country for a day at one of America’s AZA accredited Zoos and Aquariums – and they need our help before (November 6, 2017). During the campaign, Stonyfield will match every donation made up to $125,000. Essentially, doubling every donation!
Trips like these give kids a chance to see and learn from themselves and the real world. Things they can not learn in a classroom.
Because a real life polar bear or penguin is more influential than one on a tablet or television screen. Stonyfield wants kids to know that an elephant is more than just a Saturday morning cartoon character, and they can help protect these animals and their ecosystems as the future leaders they are! So they can care for our animals and even the the sheeps and cows that yogurt is made from.
You can help make a difference by donating to the campaign or helping Stonyfield spread the news. Here is a link (which ends November 6, 2017) where you can learn more and donate: #FutureLeaders.
Now since I did receive some delicious yogurt crusher samples from Stonyfield I have to tell you my kids LOVE them! I mean begged for more than one or two at a time! Big C had a love for Strawberry and little C had a love for Strawberry-Beet-Berry and I have a love that there they are organic, made with real fruit, have live active cultures and there is less than 14 grams of sugar per packet (I do not usually like to give any more than that at a time in crushers and juice).
That got me thinking about a few of our favorite yogurt recipes on this blog because I love to cook and bake with yogurt and use it as dressings or dip.
