With so many kitchen back splash options to choose from it is hard to find the perfect one to suit our style & budget. As we create our home we are keeping in mind simple modern design with high resale value. I am fully in love with styles such as white subway tiles and Korel tiles (can be found at Costco). White subway tiles keep a kitchen looking bright and these Korel mosaic tiles give a sleek modern look.
After searching and searching we decided to just paint. Why not? It is easy to apply and wipes off super clean when using a high gloss paint! If I get bored with the color, we can always change it. My husband started with caulking the kitchen edges & sink with a grey that matches our counter tops. Then we taped it off and painted a section of the wall with Pottery Clay by Martha Stewart.
Why does it seem that the prep work for painted takes hours and the actual painting takes minutes?
As you can see we made it a wine painting event out of the evening:-) Up next the blinds and wine rack need hanging up- then I will reveal the completed kitchen!
