I have been loving all the fresh juices at our local juicer and this homemade Green Machine Juice recipe is another favorite beverage, with similar ingredients to this green drink recipe and helps with gut health like cabbage juice. This drink is a great way to get your daily dose of green vegetables instantly!

Detox drinks are awesome to help your body melt away stubborn belly fat. A few that have become quite popular over the internet are my apple cider vinegar drink, green detox juice, lemon cucumber mint detox water, these detox water recipes, and fruit infused water.
All of these beverages, including this Green Machine Juice, are beneficial drinks to cleanse the body for weight loss, promote vibrant skin, increases hydration, energy, reduce hypertension and flush away toxins!
You can easily turn it into a smoothie. Just add about 1 cup of ice and blend the ingredients in a blender and do not strain the pulp for a smoothie.
This Green Machine Juice is great for getting instant nutrients the body can easily absorb. Removing the pulp in homemade juices allows the body to absorb the nutrients faster as it is not working on processing or breaking down the fibers and nutrients quickly goes into the bloodstream.

What you need
You need a high powered blender and a nut bag to make Green Machine Juice in a blender. To juice it, an juicer works and I recommend the Breville juicer or this Hamilton juicer works well and is more affordable.
I love using my Vitamix and this mesh / nut bag - as both are top-of-the-line for blending and straining.
How to make it in a blender
Step 1: Add the produce and coconut water (all the ingredients) to a blender. Blend until smooth.
Step 2: Use a nut bag or mesh bag to strain out the fibers. To do so, place the mesh bag over a bowl and pour the juice into the bag. Hold the top and squeeze the bag tightly to remove all the juice. This may need to be done repeatedly a few times.
Step 3: Serve over ice.

How to make it in a juicer
Step 1: If using a juicer, you can can skip the coconut water as an option. It is used in the blender to help it mix and add nutrients and it does add delicious sweetness. Add all the ingredients to a juicer and enjoy! Best served chilled or over ice.

When to drink it
The best time of day to drink this Green Machine Juice is first thing in the morning, 20-30 minutes before eating anything else to boost the body with the nutrients it needs.
You can even break it up after drinking warm lemon water, or in place of it.
If you are doing a detox juice cleanse, this green machine juice is wonderful to add to that by drinking a few glasses of this throughout the day as you “fast”.

Green Machine Juice Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 cup baby kale leaves packed
- 1 cup romaine lettuce packed
- 1 chard leaf very large
- 1 cucumber or half an extra long English cucumber
- 1 celery stalk
- 1 apple core and seeds removed, cut into chunks
- 1 lemon skin and rind sliced off
- 1 lime skin and rind sliced off
- 1 inch fresh ginger peeled
Instructions
Blender
- Add all the ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth on high.
- Using a large bowl, place a mesh bag or nut bag over top. Pour in the blended green machine juice. Using your hands, squeeze the juice out making sure to remove all of the liquid. (save and reserve the scraps in the bag to add to baked goods or smoothies.)
- Transfer the juice to a glass and serve over ice or chilled.
