It is inspiring updating kids rooms for their growth spurts. As parents it is our job to create special rooms for the kiddos – the nursery, then a “Big Room with a BIG Bed”, then around ages 6-10 another room… then the teenage room hits… then they are out of the house! Ok, lets not go there yet! Lets focus on the now and what inspires you at this moment.
Recently my niece turned 13. THIRTEEN is a really big deal! A teenager non the less. I am 33 but I feel like I was just there! Getting my teenage room with new furniture, wallpaper, and out with the blue carpet and in with the beige. Striped wallpaper mixed with floral curtains and pillows made me feel like quite a good teenage designer. And so my niece gave her awesome bunk beds her dad MADE (seriously, aren’t these so fun!?!) to her brothers to share in their room. These are super creative made from White Oak and partial parts of a Pottery Barn Kids Bed. The railing and ladder are made of Copper Piping.
Bed Spreads & Wave Pillows are from Pottery Barn Teen
Brothers Picture is from Marshall’s
Grey Rug is from Amazon
Desk made by my 9 year old nephew, Shane!
This room is such a fun transitional boys room! I hope you are inspired by the creativity going on here as much as I am!
