Our trip to June Lake and a new product review I am excited to share with you today! I had good intentions to write about our recent family vacation as soon as the Fourth of July weekend ended, but summer fun has gotten the best of our family time:-) As we returned home a couple weeks ago from another fantastic trip to June Lake, I am sitting here missing the insanely marvelous beauty of the mountains that only the eyes truly reveal.
I could capture picture after picture of June Lake, the “beach” and Gull Lake park though none of the pictures can explain the freshness in the air, sounds of birds chirping and the boats motoring across the lake in the early morning to fish for the best trout. The sounds that make you know you are vacation! But what pictures do reveal is a family’s true love and the memories from a great summer vacation!
So I will pretend I still hear the sounds of vacation and savor our memories. These two beautiful boys who enjoyed racing down slides together. These two beautiful boys who enjoyed Mammoth Mountain’s 3-day Fourth of July Parade. And these two boys having fun in the Mammoth Village and scoping out a bear made entirely out of wire. They did not make it past 8:00 to staying up and see fireworks. Didn't matter to me because I saw fireworks deep inside the boys as joy filled their hearts with new excitement each day.
Chase had his first fishing trip with daddy. We all walked down to the local fishing store to get a fishing pole and pick out specific string and bait. The boys all partied on the deck getting their rod together as I partied in the kitchen with my wine making fresh delicious ceviche for dinner.
The next morning we were off to Gull Lake & June Lake for fishing!
Each morning I went for a run then practiced yoga on our deck, played all day and ended the night relaxed with music, homemade dinner, candles and a movie with the family. Our vacation ended with big smiles and the tradition that on the last night we get ice cream at the local ice cream shop!
Family time away from home once in a while is need and precious to rejuvenate our energy and minds. Isn't that one of the best parts of vacations that are away from the everyday hustle and bustle of life?
And a little review about a one of my favorite soy candle collections and y0ga sports towel. Recently I came across Aurora products – candles and a yoga/sports towel since I LOVE yoga these days. As I practiced my morning yoga on vacation, the sports towel worked great to cover the deck and protect my skin from the wood and packs very tight for travel. It doesn't have grippers like a hot yoga sports towel, but it did stay flat against the wood and is good for wiping off sweat. I also brought the Pine scented soy candle on our trip and we totally enjoyed it during our Fourth of July outdoor dinner party. Soy is great as does not release toxins into the air and burns cleaner with little soot. Now that we are home lighting our pine scented candle brings a bit of cabin nostalgia home to our Santa Barbara lifestyle.
Aurorae's collection of meditation candles come with the intention to help you concentrate on a particular state of mind while meditating or working throughout the day. And they have a great selection of available scents such as Lavender, Vanilla, Eucalyptus (my favorite while working on the computer), Rose, Chocolate, Cinnamon, Tropical, Ocean, Raspberry, Candy Cane, Pine and Pumpkin. Checkout out all the great Aurorae Spa products and give your support and “like” them on Facebook and Twitter!
