Learn how manifesting and mindset can help you create and build the life you want. The real me, behind the screen, sharing personal stories, practical steps, and inspiration.

For a long time, I thought manifesting was something other people talked about — not something people like me actually did. I focused on my faith, but as I learned they actually work together and are basically the same thing in some ways.
I was busy raising kids, running a food blog, testing recipes, cleaning kitchens, and trying to keep up with real life. Manifesting sounded like a nice idea, but not something practical. I just always visualized what I wanted, said it out loud, screamed it to the universe, wrote it in my prayer journal, and prayed about it.
And yet… when I look back, I can clearly see it. I didn’t just end up in the life I have today. I imagined it, talked about it, believed it was possible — and then took action toward it, long before it became real.
That’s what manifesting actually is.
And if you’re a mom, a woman, or someone who feels like they want more — more ease, more joy, more freedom — this matters more than you think. Now this post is a little bit of a "get-to-know-me", but it WILL inspire you.
What Manifesting Really Means (In Real Life Terms)
Let’s clear this up right away.
Manifesting is not:
- Sitting around waiting
- Ignoring reality
- Pretending hard things don’t exist
Manifesting is:
- Getting clear on what you want
- Believing it’s possible for you
- Taking aligned action consistently
- Trusting the process, even when you can’t see the full picture yet
It’s not magic — it’s mindset + intention + action working together. And yes, it works in the middle of busy mom life. Be sure to also check out - mindful living for moms habits for a healthier calmer life.
How Manifesting Showed Up in My Own Life (Before I Even Realized It)
Building a Food Blog & Writing Cookbooks
When I started my food blog, I didn’t have a big plan. I just knew I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom and make income that way somehow. I didn’t know it would turn into a successful business or lead to writing cookbooks. But I did believe:
- I could build something meaningful from home
- My work could support my family and help others
- Sharing what I loved could turn into something bigger
So I showed up with blind faith — even when it was slow, even when no one was watching, even when I did not want to.
That belief + consistency turned into:
- A successful lifestyle food blog to nourish the body
- Three cookbooks
- Opportunities I never could have planned for
That’s manifesting.
Manifesting Our Home (Before It Existed)
When we bought our home, I didn’t just hope for something nice. I was very clear about what I wanted and I even wrote it down:
- How it would feel
- How it would function for our family
- How I wanted it designed
I pictured it before it existed — and we ended up in a home designed exactly how I imagined! Even as previous owners (who backed out during building) had already picked everything out, it was exactly what I wanted!
Clarity matters more than luck.
Moving to Texas (A Dream That Became Reality)
At one point, moving to Texas was just something I talked about — a dream, especially as my husband has his own business in California. I even had a picture on my vision board that said "Family time begins in Texas." I just liked that, so I added it!
I pictured the lifestyle, the pace, the space, the feeling of starting fresh. And then one day… we were living it. Not because it magically happened, but because once the desire became clear, decisions started aligning with it.
And Then There Were Twins…
This is still one of my favorite examples. I used to joke to my husband about having twins. I was nearing 40, (our two boys were getting older but I always wanted a third) and very aware that I absolutely did not want two more C-sections. I would laugh and say, “We will just have to have twins cause I don't want two more c-sections and now that the other two are going to be so far apart we will have to have two more so they have a buddy!?”
Well… life listened 😅 Instead of two separate pregnancies, I was blessed with twins. Not exactly how I planned it — but a perfect reminder that sometimes what you call in and what you ask God for shows up in its own way.
Why Mindset Is the Foundation for Everything You Want
Here’s what I’ve learned, your mindset determines:
- What you believe is possible
- What actions you take (or don’t take)
- What opportunities you notice
Most people don’t fail because they aren’t capable.
They fail because:
- They don’t believe it’s possible for them
- They give up too soon
- They never allow themselves to want more
Mindset comes before results.
How You Can Start Manifesting What You Desire (Step by Step)
Get Clear on What You Actually Want
Be honest with yourself. Ask:
- What do I want more of in my life?
- What feels missing right now?
- What would make my days feel lighter?
Clarity creates direction — and direction changes everything.
Stop Minimizing Your Desires
Wanting more does not mean you’re ungrateful. It means:
- You’re growing
- You’re evolving
- You’re listening to your intuition
You’re allowed to want:
- More freedom
- More stability
- More joy
- More ease
Start Talking About What You Want (Even Casually)
This part is powerful. So many of the things in my life started as:
- Thoughts
- Jokes
- Casual conversations
Words matter. What you speak becomes familiar — and familiarity breeds belief.
Take Action Even When You Don’t Feel Ready
Manifesting isn’t passive. It requires:
- Small steps
- Imperfect action
- Consistency
You don’t need the whole plan — just the next step.
Trust That Life Might Deliver Differently Than You Expect
Sometimes you get exactly what you asked for. Sometimes you get it in a way you didn’t plan. Either way — stay open. Some of the best things in my life came wrapped differently than I imagined.

Why This Matters (Especially for Moms)
As moms, we often put our dreams on the back burner. We get practical. Responsible. Busy. But your desires matter too. When you allow yourself to dream, believe, and take action — you give your kids permission to do the same.
Final Thoughts
Manifesting isn’t about controlling life. It’s about:
- Trusting yourself
- Believing more is possible
- Showing up consistently
- Staying open to how things unfold
You don’t need to change who you are. You just need to believe that the life you want is possible for you — and take steps toward it. And yes… sometimes life might surprise you with twins 😉
The thing is, each manifestation is a jump and leap to the next. You may think you got to where you want but there is always a greatness that you are meant for in the next phase or chapter in life. So I encourage you to keep visualizing what you want, say it out loud, screamed it to the universe, write it in a prayer or gratitute journal, and prayed about it. And this is the most important thing....
Feel it and visualize like you are living it in every bone in your body. Dreams do come true.
