If you’re a busy mom trying to balance mindful living with simple, gluten-free meals, you’re in the right place. Today I’m sharing my weekly favorites — from intentional living ideas and books I’m reading to cozy home finds and gluten-free recipes I’m making for my family. These are the little things helping me slow down, nourish my body, and live more mindfully.

Lately I’ve been really intentional about choosing what actually adds value to my days — the little things that make life feel calm, grounded, and good. I wanted to share a few of those favorites with you today, because they’re the kind of simple joys that remind me who I want to be and how I want to live.
Think: effortless, nourishing, and aligned — the things I’d tell you about if we were catching up over coffee ☕💛
Here we go:
My Mindful Living Bucket List as a Busy Mom
I’m really leaning into slow, intentional living this season. A few things on my heart:
Travel. A weekend getaway somewhere cozy, relaxing, + by the beach. This week we were supposed to take a family vacation and live on a boat for a week around the Florida Keys. Due to weather, we had to cancel. This bucket list item almost got checked off... for now, until we reschedule!
More golden-hour walks (phone left at home). My oldest son and I started doing this and it has been so fullfiling for both of us. We take evening walks and I just let him talk about anything on his mind. Our cups feel full. We don't fit it in everday, but my goal is to do it at least a few times a week, with friends too!
Hosting a simple dinner with candles, music, and zero stress. After having our twins our life has been in full chaos with 4 kids schedules. There is never a dull moment and trying to host guests in our home has sounded exhausting... until now. Now that they are over 3, it's time to come out of the cocoon and start spreading our wings back into dinner parties we once loved.
Saying yes to things that feel aligned — and no to what doesn’t. I used to say yest to every job, every friends gathering, and more. No-one can do it all and it is ok to ask for help or say no to things that are not meaningful.
Nothing fancy. Just meaningful.
Books I’m Reading for Mindful Living & Personal Growth
I’ve been curled up with a mix of meaningful, inspiring, and can’t-put-down books lately — the kind that help you grow, feel deeply, and see life from a new angle. Here are a few I think you’ll love:
✨ A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle – A modern classic in spiritual growth, this book helps you shift from living on autopilot to being fully present and purposeful. Oprah chose it not once but twice for her Book Club because of its life-changing perspective.
✨ Bridge of Sighs by Richard Russo – This one blends rich character work, family ties, and a journey toward rediscovery. It’s the perfect mix of heart and warmth for a cozy fall/winter read.
✨ Rich As Fck: More Money Than You Know What to Do With* – On the mindset side, this one’s been hot on Amazon. It’s bold, fun, and all about breaking old money fears, embracing abundance, and reshaping how you think about wealth and success — almost like a conversation with a coach (with a little sass).
Cozy Home Decor Favorites for a Calm, Mindful Home
Right now I’m all about:
- Neutral tones, light wood, bright rooms with warm textures. Falling in love with this dinning table and how this table setting looks and feels.
- Woven baskets + cozy throws
- Simple greenery, obsessed with olive trees like this one (real or faux — no judgment 😅)
- Soft lighting (eyeballing this one for our family room) with clean lines that makes evenings feel calm and inviting
My rule lately: if it doesn’t make me feel relaxed, it doesn’t stay.
What I’m Wearing Lately (Comfortable & Mom-Friendly)
- Easy, comfy, but still cute: Check out my daily drops on TikTok
- Flowy dresses like this one that work for errands and dinner
- Soft knits + relaxed layers
- Neutral basics you can mix and match without thinking
Basically: “put-together without trying too hard.”
Gluten-Free Recipes I’m Making for Nourishment & Energy
When life feels busy, I always come back to simple gluten-free recipes that is supporting my energy and digestion while eating gluten-free. I’m especially loving detox drinks and lemon water recipes because they’re an easy way to nourish my body first thing in the morning without overthinking meals.
On repeat from this blog:
- Elderberry Syrup-- especially this time of year!
- Fresh lemon water + detox-style drinks to start the day
- Easy, feel-good recipes that don’t require a million ingredients like these Mexican stuffed sweet potatoes.
- Comfort foods with a healthier twist that the whole family loves- we live off these easy no-bake protein energy balls!
