Come-on, sing with me!… It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas … everywhere you go! There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well, The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas; Soon the bells will start, And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing Right within your heart!
With Christmas music comes decorating and after decorating comes hot chocolate!
We can not stop playing Christmas music around here and just finished decorating our tree this past weekend. Such a sweet picture of Big C – he was so serious and concentrating so hard getting those ornaments just right on the tree. Poor guy takes after his mamma making sure every single detail is in its correct spot. Well I hope his wife will thank him one day…lol.
Ok, back to the hot chocolate. There are those days where kids completely refuse to eat any form of a vegetable and that just drives me nuts when my child has one of those days. It was recommended by our pediatrician to try Kidz SuperFood Powder in smoothies to help keep our family healthy. But it does taste a bit “grassy” even mixed with milk and C refuses to drink it. It is great in smoothies but sometimes I have a hard time getting C to drink a smoothie. So we tried it in hot chocolate with a dab of chocolate syrup and Vanilla Flavored Coconut Milk. He chugs this down so quickly that I have to share with you if want to try it out. I call it Christmas Hot Chocolate Smoothie for its greenish tint- might be nice to add some red peppermints on top too!
Step 1: Blend in a blender Coconut Milk, Chocolate powder mix, & chocolate syrup.
Step 2: Heat on a stove top.
Step 3: Pour into two mugs and top with marshmallows. Enjoy this fun warm and cozy “greenish” Christmas hot chocolate smoothie!
