Good bacteria and why your body needs it! Find out how good bacteria heals the body plus what probiotic foods to eat for maximum health! Probiotics are a beneficial bacteria with valuable benefits that aid to support the body, brain and second brain - the gut!
Why your body needs good bacteria? The question comes with an answer that will change your life forever!
The body contains trillions of bacteria at any given second, some good and some bad. Bacteria is important for the body as it wards off sickness, builds the immune system, and aids to break down foods. Here are some more of the reasons your body needs both good bacteria and bad bacteria.
Healthy Gut and Immune System
The gut is also known as the third brain and contains large amounts of bacteria in it. It is a powerhouse that controls the overall system of your body, aside from your actual brain. If there is not enough good bacteria living in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, you may be more prone to sickness. Consuming more amounts of good bacteria (recommend taking a probiotic) versus bad bacteria is important to keeping your immunity strong.
Health Benefits of Good Bacteria
Aids in digestion: Having normal levels of good bacteria in the body has a variety of health benefits. Good bacteria aids in digestion by breaking down foods, particularly carbohydrates. Good bacteria also helps the body absorb fatty acid that turns into energy production.
Repairs damaged tissue: Good bacteria help prevent a pathogen invasion and aid cells in repairing damaged tissues.
Keeps the heart healthy: Having enough good bacteria in the gut can help to fight heart issues, It can help to regulate blood sugar, reduce inflammation and cholesterol levels.
Boosts immunity: Good bacteria protects the body from foreign invaders to fight off and prevent sickness and diseases.
How to Get a Balance of Bacteria
Eating foods with probiotics is one of the best ways to increase the amounts of good bacteria in your body. Food heals and your dietary choices are one of the best ways to keep your body strong, healthy and balanced!
You can also take a probiotic supplement which I highly recommend this one as it has prebiotics to help support the energy of probiotics in the colon. I experience increased energy and have been less prone to sickness when I am taking my probiotics!
Bacteria’s worst nightmare: Antibiotics and hand sanitizer.
Try to avoid taking an antibiotic as much as possible if you can. It kills all bacteria in the body. If you have to take an antibiotic, make sure to take a probiotic right after completing antibiotics if you must have them. Do not both taking them with an antibiotic as the medicine will cancel it out.
Hand sanitizer is another story. It is good for you to kill any germs that you come in contact with. If you have kids you’ll know this one is essential for zoo days! I cringe when my kids are touching all the cages and railings and use sanitizer so we do not get sick.
Those occasions are fine. It is the ones where you are using sanitizer every second of the day and not letting your immunity get strong. Over doing it makes it harder for the body to fight off bad bacteria when it comes in contact.
Just use it as needed, but not over doing it.
