What you'll need
- Ripe peaches - When choosing peaches, pick ones that are ripe and slightly soft to touch but not bruised. You will also want to select peaches when they are in season for the sweetest taste. You can also use frozen peaches. See below for using frozen peaches. You can leave the skins on but make sure to remove the seed from this stone fruit.
- Honey or maple syrup - Honey preserves this drink and adds a dash of extra sweet that compliments peaches.
- Fresh lemon juice - This helps preserve the juice and gives it a little punch to taste.
Recommended tools for this recipe
- Blender. You can use a high powered blender, which is an invaluable tool for your kitchen. I use this on in this recipe or you can use a basic one.
- Fine Mesh Strainer. An ideal way to strain the pulp from the peaches is with a fine mesh strainer or you can squeeze it through this nut milk bag.
- Funnel. For pouring the juice into a container to store.
- Juice Jug. For storing your fresh juice.
What type of peaches to use
You can use any type of peaches as long as they are nice and ripe and not bruised. Here is what you can use:
- White Peaches - and save extras for White Peach Sangria!
- Yellow Peaches - and save extras for a Frozen Peach Margarita!
- Donut Peaches - these are flatter than yellow peaches and round like a donut shape.
- Nectarines - yes, you can even use nectarines in place of peaches.
